Chippenham & District Canine Society

Chippenham & District Canine Society Was founded in 1961 by Mr. G G  Mitchell (Mastrovic) of Chippenham.

For the first year, to get the club started the Chairman was

Mr.  Phillip Gardiner-Swann

(Secretary)  Mr.  F Waring 

(Treasurer)  Miss G Holloway

(Patron)  Mr.  Northover

(President)  Mr.  E. Milson

After  the first year the officers changed and 
Mr.  Ron Archambaud became (Chairman)

( Secretary) Mr.  G  Mitchell

(Treasurer) Mrs.  L  Hurden

The first Show was held in March 1962 on the grounds opposite
The  Pheasant Inn, Chippenham.
The Show was judged by Mr.  Frank Warner-Hill.

In 1963 the Show was held at the Castle-Combe Racing Circuit.

Since that time the Show has grown to 170 + classes, and is now run on the Group System,
At The West Wilts Equestrian Centre Holt Nr Melksham Wilts BA14 6QT
on the first Sunday in April.
